In August, Human Nature hosted its first timber summit at Phoenix House, our offices here in Lewes. We gathered together some of the most experienced and renowned experts in engineering, architecture, sustainable building and forestry in order to investigate and debate the barriers and opportunities arising from truly low carbon construction at a significant scale, focusing on our plans to make the Phoenix the most sustainable neighbourhood in Europe.
Thank you to Jonathan Fovargue from Eurban and Ian Pritchett from Greencore Construction for illuminating presentations on timber and other bio-based projects past and present, and to all our other attendees including Expedition Engineering, the Alliance for Sustainable Building Products (ASBP); Whitby Wood, David Saunders, Oliver Lowenstein, Jonathan Nelson, Siriol Hugh-Jones and more.
